PERFORM !
We invite you to witness the grade 11 IB Theatre Ensemble perform on:
18th of March, Wednesday from 6 - 7.30 PM
This will be our first performance of self-devised and self-directed plays. You will experience the ensemble supporting each other as an important part of the IB Theatre Program.
Therefore, we invite you to Monologue Night. Monologues will be our own original creations in an attempt to introduce the audience to different versions of reality.
The programme for the evening:
1. Then to Therefore
One forgets too easily the difference between a man and his image, and that there is none between the sound of his voice on the screen and in real life - . Bertolt Brecht
Performed by: Aaheli Mukherjee
2. Inseparable
Theatre has nothing to do with buildings or other physical
constructions. Theatre — or theatricality — is the capacity, this human property which allows man to observe himself in action, in activity. – Augusto Boal
Performed by: Emaan Al Zadjali
3. Misunderstood
Unless the theatre can ennoble you, make you a better person, you should flee
from it- Constantine Stanislavski
Performed By: Moudhy Al Harthy
4. Detective Phelps
'You’re on earth. There is no cure for that.' – Samuel Beckett
Performed By: Yosef Hard
5. Serving zero to life
‘We can all be connected but at what point do we realize that we’re being conned
and to what point do we allow ourselves to be conned?' - Guy Ritchie
Performed By: Kye Tular
If available, kindly grace us with your presence as we take our first steps into performance and invite you to critique our performances.
